Well loads has happened since I last wrote, but then of course it has been a year and a half!

Kirkcudbright finished in May last year and it turned out to be a nightmare contract because of various reasons which I can't really be bothered to go into. I came back to Falmouth for a break from work and got in touch with my now fiancé Sandra. We had a bit of a whirlwind romance and fell in love very quickly. We spent last summer together in Cornwall, but I had to go away again on another contract in Scotland, the new upper Forth Crossing at Kincardine http://www.upperforthcrossing.com/ which has also now finished, as of March this year.

Sandra and I stayed very close while I was away and she visited me in Scotland with her 4 year old daughter Eltica a few times. Since coming back to Cornwall after completing the Kincardine contract Sandra and I have moved in together to Belmont with Eltica after doing some extension refurbishment/redecorating. We went to Glastonbury this year and I proposed in the Stone Circle and of course Sandra now keeps calling me a hippy.

The other major thing that happened soon after Glastonbury is me having a motorbike accident, with Sandra as pillion. I'm writing this nursing my broken foot which is not looking that clever, Sandra is now much better after badly bruising her left side and left knee and worse of all taking a bang to the head.

The other news is that Hugh and Karen got married last year, in Italy, which was a great event. Sandra and I had a bit of a holiday at the same time which was also great.

As far as the house building project is going the building works finished last September and we have managed to sell one of the houses as of a month ago. We have accepted an offer on the second house but that is the one which we've had a ridiculous boundary dispute over with the next door neighbour.  We are hoping the dispute doesn't affect the sale (fingers crossed).

Currently sorting provisional wedding plans and trying to arrange things for this November, if at all possible. That's about it for now.

Well not much has happened in the last few months but I've got a chance to update the web site so why not? Christmas was the usual family affair, a bit quieter this year and not held at Grandma & Grandad Wilkinson so even more novel! New Year was in Falmouth again and also a bit quiet....I must be getting old.

After the New Year headed straight up to site on an outfall contract, to Kirkcudbright (Scotland) and have been here ever since, a cracking little town, very friendly and very happy working here.

The house project is kinda now sorted, building regs have now been granted and we have decided on a builder, the big thing is though we've decided we're not gonna make any money just gain a few more grey hairs!

I think the beginning sentence from "21/12/04" below is highly relevant......it has taken even longer this time to update things. No excuse really but starting to get back on track now because I've found a little bit of inspiration....probably spurred by the purchase of a new-ish computer, which does help cause it's a pleasure, rather than a chore to boot and use!!

Work-wise I've not been away so much as usual which is a good thing cause I've managed to spend the better parts of the summer at home, and at least got to go on some of those day/weekend outings with friends and family which make life and living in Cornwall so great. The latter part of the year has seen two jobs; both meteorological masts, one off North Wales and one off East Anglia. I'm currently working at head office and shouldn't be going away until the new year.

Socially, key things have been skiing in Banff, clay pigeon shooting in the Peak District, the second year in Glastonbury which was the main year of flooding in Penard's field (great!!), seeing Oasis in Manchester, sleeping on the beach near Porthmellion Head, my cousin's wedding in Spain, the SAS ball and a weeks holiday in Mallorca

The house development has been a bit of a nightmare, but planning permission has been granted and we are now starting the process of going through building regulations.

As usual it has taken me ages to get round to putting anything new on the web site and of course updating any news. As you may have gathered I'm back from Gothenburg, I eventually got back toward the end of October. Since then not much has happened which is a good thing cause it has been quite a hectic and stressful year - workwise. Of course there was the SAS ball on 3rd September which I managed to get home for the weekend and was as usual pretty fantastic.

On 4th October I managed to get to the Donavan Frankenreiter gig which was at the Blue Bar in Porthtown. It was his first UK gig and if you're a fan like me then it was special.

My house-mate Helen who is the inspiration behind the new Cornish magazine for "young'ish" people Stranger has been very successful in her exploits. The second issue has now just been published and you can view most of it at the Stranger web site www.stranger-mag.com.

The new house purchase has gone through and the garden clearance is 99% complete. We are in the process of having the place measured and surveyed with the potential to split it into 2 separate dwellings.

In Gothenburg at present after having been here for just over 2 weeks. Great night life but working every day tends to dampen that one a little especially as it really only gets going after 1am!

Old Man and I have decided to invest in the property next door to him in order to give him a driveway, split the plot to sell the house and be left with an area to possibly build another house. Mortgage has been applied for so we'll see how it goes.....exciting but daunting!

Well it's been a while since the last update. Mainly due to not being able to, but also laziness! In May (after Obby Oss) went to Great Yarmouth to work on Scroby Sands Offshore Wind Farm off Great Yarmouth then in June went over to Antwerp for rig refit work. Currently at the end of a 3 week break where I've spent the time at home trying to make the most of the not-so-great summer weather but did get to Glastonbury which was fantastic, and I have had some good fishing and wake boarding trips on the boat.

Eventually got round to buying a new car. Got a 1998 TVR Chimaera......a toy to try and make the most of the Summer? Click here for a photo.

Drove to Leicester with the Old Man and picked up the boat for the Summer "Perfect Day". It's a Mariah Shabah 18' with Volvo Penta 3.0L inboard and seats 7/8. Role on the Summer, about time we took advantage of living near the sea! Click here for a photo
